Angels One Five

by the Last Act

/

about

Angels One Five = 15000 feet in aviator slang.

This is the latest release by "the Last Act" (Jan 2014). This song is about WWII bomber crews and the price many of them paid. This song is dedicated to the men who lived "through the hell in the sky" and to those who didn't.

lyrics

This is war, engines dark roar, a silhouette, a steel bird of prey
Black shards of death, raging flak from the deck, the profile -- the target -- in sight
Horror, blind fear, terror for all today
3 miles high falling out of the sky, a swan song at midnight

Chorus
And the price is our lives
Hold on through the hell in the sky
At Angels One Five
Hold my breath as we ride on the night
And the price is our lives
We are death from above and that's right
At Angels One Five
Hold my breath and my trigger down tight
At Angels One Five

Let 'em go, so that we can go home, out of here for another day
Thumping of fire, hell's pounding choir, cities fold and die
Horror, blind fear, burning behind us today
Bandits in sight, tracers ignite, start the dance of death in the sky

Chorus
And the price is our lives
Hold on through the hell in the sky
At Angels One Five
Hold my breath as we ride on the night
And the price is our lives
We are death from above and that's right
At Angels One Five
Hold my breath and my trigger down tight

At angels we fly, at angels we die
Conscience falls with the bombs; we hear the blackness call
At angels we die, at angels -- goodbye
Biting snarl as they strike; all at once we're all alone

Turn out the lights, as we burn in the night

Chorus
And the price is our lives
Hold on through the hell in the sky
At Angels One Five
Hold my breath as we ride on the night
And the price is our lives
We are death from above and that's right
At Angels One Five
Hold my breath and my trigger down tight
At Angels One Five

about

the Last Act Calgary, Alberta

“Sit down, have a cigar. Don’t matter who we think we are, the broken or the shining star” — Midnight Flight, 2013

TLA loves what they’re doing and plenty of others do too. They're not trying to be something they’re not and you can hear it in the music. Songs that makes you want to yell "F*%CK YEAH"!

And we are ever so grateful that you have taken the time to visit us!
