Home Again

by the Last Act

/

about

This song is about growing up and looking back on one's childhood or days gone by. These days can never be revisited except in our memories. In other words "You can't go home again".

For some people it's a good thing, but for most others it's a little sad to know those times are gone and we can never go back.

lyrics

I know, where I’ve been and I’ve lost my way again
Reflecting, now and again, the memory of home it’s close within
Twilight, firelight, music plays I’m safe and held wrapped in the night

Chorus
And then the memory is gone
Time moves on, it’s a windblown path
Can never go home again
And then the memory is gone
Can’t go back, fade to black
Can never go home again
And then the memory is gone
Dimming memory, never again will be
Can’t go home again

You would walk and hold my hand, tell me “soon you’ll be a man”
Simple days, but I’d look ahead, never saw them slip and drift away
Woke one day, a part to play, and now I’ve lost my way again and trapped in the night

Chorus
And then the memory is gone
Time moves on, it’s a windblown path
Can never go home again
And then the memory is gone
Can’t go back, and it fades to black
Can never go home again
And then the memory is gone
Dimming memory, never again will be
Can’t go home again

Goin’ home, goin’ home
Goin’ home, goin’ home

Chorus
And then the memory is gone
Time moves on, it’s a windblown path
No you can never go home again
And then the memory is gone
Can’t go back, and it fades to black
No you can never go home again
And then the memory is gone
Dimming memory, never again will be
Can’t go home again

Goin’ home, goin’ home again

“Sit down, have a cigar. Don’t matter who we think we are, the broken or the shining star” — Midnight Flight, 2013

TLA loves what they’re doing and plenty of others do too. They're not trying to be something they’re not and you can hear it in the music. Songs that makes you want to yell "F*%CK YEAH"!

And we are ever so grateful that you have taken the time to visit us!
